brings his NYC runway to town May 24 & May 25!

Adelaide Brides get “Me” time with direct dress consultations, styling, gown style secrets for their body type and Rothtv cocktails night with a twist!
Australian born New York City and Sydney based bridal designer Henry Roth plans his first exclusive visit to Adelaide in search of what he loves most, brides to be yet to find their dream dress at a dream price!

Roth is known for his role as the original mentor on Project Runway Australia Seasons 1 and 2, frequent appearances on The Today Show Australia for the Nine Network, The Morning Show for Channel 7 and is makeover director of Channel 7’s hit Beauty and the Geek. Henry Roth will showcase his latest affordable couture collection hot off his Manhattan runway for two days May 24 and 25 only.

Henry Roth who works alongside his sister Michelle Roth and mother Aneta Weinreich has been featured on 60 Minutes as one of the top international designers making a name for themselves in New York City. He comments, “We are proudly three generations of Australians that undoubtedly have the passion for fashion! The more companies head towards corporatisation and the more opportunities there are for brides to buy online, greater is the opportunity for our bridal gowns, veils and bridesmaids dresses to have a phenomenal point of difference. The news is that personalisation is the new email!”

Roth will be personally available to consult directly with brides at Adelaide Brides and Bloom in Adelaide on Thursday May 24 and Friday May 25. Henry Roth says, “With our informal and garden wedding gowns starting at $850, and a total reality check that brides in Adelaide aim to have gowns that are cool, calm and collected on their day. We work with the finest retailers anywhere in the world who are exceptionally service oriented. Paula and her team are just brilliant to work with.
Our hotel room was amazing, The Crown Towers…5 Star, only the best will do for my beautiful team. Everything about the room and hotel was glamorous and the chocolates that were left in the room for us were… let me say, Delicious!!! We even asked for more. We had dinner at a little Italian restaurant on Toorak Rd and then bed, ready for the next day.

It was a early start to the day. First appointment, Henry Roth at 9:00am. Henry Roth is Adelaide Brides and Bloom favourite designer and it was lovely catching up with Henry and his wonderful team Sarah and Lee. Can’t wait to show you all his latest designs, due in store mid year. Tenille even got to model some of his stunning gowns for us, and what a amazing job Tenille did, even Henry was impressed. What a enjoyable time we had with Henry and his team, but we always have heaps of fun with him.

We ended the day yesterday by, yes you guessed it…MORE SHOPPING!!!

We had heaps of fun in Melbourne, but we must say goodbye for now. Need to get back to all my lovely Brides back home in Adelaide and of course to sell heaps of Henry Roth Wedding and Bridesmaid dresses.

Adelaide Brides and Bloom is looking forward to an exciting and busy year ahead

This is Adelaide Brides and Bloom first Blog…

With Today’s Brides choosing to research Wedding Gowns online we have decided to create a checklist regarding buying online…

Safety Checklist to follow when buying your wedding dress online:

1. ALWAYS deal only with Australian businesses. Australian consumer protection laws do not apply in overseas countries. So, if you spend your hard earned cash with an overseas website, and the dress doesn’t show up, or, doesn’t look anything like the one that you ordered, or, the dress is really bad quality – there is very little you can do to get your money back.

2. ALWAYS make sure that the business you’re dealing with has a landline phone number with a real person on the other end of the phone. Steer clear of internet businesses that just have an answering service, or just a mobile phone number, or just an email address via a public email hosting service eg. Hotmail or Gmail. If they don’t have a manned landline phone number that you can call during business hours, CLICK OUT.

3. ALWAYS ensure that the business has a valid ABN (Australian Business Number) and an ACN (Australian Company Number). You can check the ABN on www.abr.business.gov.au, and the ACN on www.asic.gov.au. Registering a business name is NOT the same as a ABN or ACN number. Adelaide Brides and Bloom is a registered business/Company and the registered business number is different from your ABN and ACN.

4. NEVER deal with a business that uses designers pictures from their website. Designer wedding dresses that sell for $1,500+ in the shops are targeted by unscrupulous counterfeiters who make poor quality, cheap replicas. These businesses are “Two Bob Knock Off Shops”, based overseas and are usually sweatshops. The photos you see are being used illegally, that is, without the copyright owner’s permission. The cheap wedding dresses, if they turn up, rarely look anything like the dresses in the photos anyway. You cannot buy a genuine designer brand wedding dress online eg. Henry Roth, Mia Solano and Elianna Moore, which Adelaide Brides and Bloom stock. These designs are only distributed through authorised bridal stores, and are never sold online, unless they are sold privately second-hand.

5. When the online store said’s custom or designer made “Click Out”. I got my Wedding Dress Custom/Designer made for my Wedding, 9 years ago. I had about 5 fitting before my Wedding Dress was finish. Each fitting I had to wear the Bra and Shoes I was wearing on my wedding day. By giving your measurements to the online store doesn’t NOT mean it is custom made. If your Gown was Custom made it would cost a lot more.

6. If your on a budget, you don’t have to buy online. Bridal stores have always got Wedding dresses at affordable prices. ABB has got stunning dresses at affordable price… well that’s what my customers tell me.

Buying your wedding dress should be one of the happiest experiences of your life. We are not saying NOT to buy online, but make sure you follow the above checklist to ensure that you will not be disappointed once your Wedding Gown arrives in the mail…Now happy shopping finding your dream Wedding Dress. xx

This Henry Roth Wedding Gown starts at $585.
